.:An Eight:.

At this stage of my animation, i have completed the fox's talking, and have started the penguin taking out the normal light bulb. I had some problems with the movement in my penguin. I had trouble getting the movement in such a way that it doesn't look like the penguin is breaking this arm trying to put in the light bulb. I over came this by just giving the penguin a thumb and having the light held and tip of his flipper between his thumb and his other side of the penguins flipper.

.:First Penguin Idea:.

This was my first idea of what my penguin was going to look like.

.:Colour Thoughts:.

I found my fox on the Internet, i googled fox and that's where i found my image. I then followed this fox to its website where i found lots of googly eyed animals. This site was: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/6071343/2/istockphoto_6071343-googly-eye-snow-fox.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/animals/mammals/6071343-googly-eye-snow-fox.php%3Fid%3D6071343%26refnum%3D840626&usg=__6Z9ZbOliI95ZC2I68U31wYXSky0=&h=380&w=309&sz=41&hl=en&start=2&sig2=cn8N1poDEtI4IEECj61cYA&um=1&tbnid=APn9RBmi7zUKOM:&tbnh=123&tbnw=100&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dgoogly%2Beyed%2Bfox%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*:IE-Address%26rlz%3D1I7SKPB%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1&ei=Do0oSrG1Ac-AkQWoh4jVBg. This is also where i got my first version of my penguin from. This version proved not to be right, so i changed it. It wasn't right because i had already decided on a fox of the same type and i thought it best that my two character are different. I was presented with two choices of colour for my fox. Image one, is the red fox, this image i liked a lot but deiced against for the fact that its not an Arctic fox. I chose the arctic fox looking one- as seen in image two. I then changed the character to look like what it does in my animation. I changed it because you can just copy someone else work straight off the Internet. that would be wrong. So i took away his whiskers because they made him look a little strange. I also lost the tone of colour and shadowing that the fox had. If i had kept this is would of been to had to move him, therefore i just made him white, with the all important purple fur. I made him have purple fur because purple is my favourite colour and also because it adds a bit of colour to the once plain white and black fox. the colour would also attract kids yes making them like this character more.

.:Evaluation:.

The name of my serise is, "Global Adventures" although ofcoarse my animation is only a 32 second trailor of one of the episonds.

The main tools and processes i used were; layers, duplication, grab tool, move tool, select tool and the speed dial. i discovered that you can copy and paste a whole lot of frames by holding down the shift key, clicking copy, then clicking paste when over the blank frmaes.
the select tool is basically just a hand that selects any part of your image that you want. the duplication button is very handy and is used to duplicate frames.

Throught out this project i have deleveloped various skills and techniquics, most of these have already been posted on my blog.

Through planning and reasearch i was able to create fictional character that almost seem real with there personalitys and there movements.

the main problem i encounted in class was how tempormental the mac books are. either ianimationish was not responding or in unexpectedly quit, i always seemed to lose my animation. this kept settinf me back and is the bigggest reason to why i only managed to get 32 seconds of animation. I over came this problem by working throught it all, and just learnt to save every second almost.

I found that i under planned with my animation i also didn't plan correctly, i expected to much of my self and didn't get enough done.

I am over all quite happy with my finished animation, its not quite as long as i would like but it is of some quality. the arctic fox i think has clean lines and is rather cute. Kids would be able to connected with this character as he teaches them all about global warming.
My final result good be better, but i'm still very proud of myself for completing an animation - that i drew myself that has sound and looks good.

there aren't many thingsd i would like to change but one of them would be that my animation went longer and the penguin looked over all as soomth as the fox.

I think that yesm pixtur would buy my animation, as i've said before its most be one of the first animation that is purly based on climate change and that is educational, also my characters are cute, funny and colourful - which kids love!

if i could start again i might have a wider range of character in my trailor to show exactly how much my serise has to offer.

.:Pingu:.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGPhXrc78Jg
If you follow this link you can get to a page where you can watch pingu. It goes for 2:32 seconds, this is only one little episode from pingu's vast collection.

Pingu was a great inspiration for me and my penguin character. I used to watch it when i was little and thats where i got my penguin idea from. Pingu hasn't got the best drawings but the sounds and story line is gold!

As abc television puts it;
Animated series about Pingu, a friendly little penguin from the South Pole whose light-hearted creativity sometimes gets him into trouble but equally often gets him back on his feet again.

.:Tweening:.

Tweening orginated from Walt Disney- as does almost everything in animation- it started out as inbetweenig, as in between the key frames. This over time got shorten to Tweening- which i think is rather catchie.
